Counsel #15 — Aligning with God

Picture: Counsel #15 — Aligning with GodCWe 104.1

Keeping your choices aligned with God’s will requires intentionality, humility, and reflecting on how your decisions honor Him and impact others. As you sincerely seek His guidance through prayer and immerse yourself in Scripture, His wisdom and purpose will be revealed. Proverbs 3:5, 6 reminds the believer to trust in the Lord and lean not on your understanding, promising that He will direct your paths.CWe 104.2

Whenever you are about to make a choice, ask yourself: Will my decision reflect God’s love, truth, and righteousness? Even though you have surrendered to Jesus and have been freed from sin’s rule, it doesn’t mean that the devil will automatically stop his quest to steal, kill, and destroy. You must continue to “put to death” your sinful desires and allow the Spirit to transform your heart, actions, and thoughts continually. You can maintain alignment even in difficult situations by inviting the Holy Spirit to guide your thoughts and actions. Ultimately, aligning your choices with God’s will bring peace, purpose, and the assurance of living for His glory.[125] https://www.eldersdigest.org/en/2015/2/making-the-right-choices CWe 104.3

“But now you must also rid yourselves of all such things as these: anger, rage, malice, slander, and filthy language from your lips.” Colossians 3:8 NIVCWe 104.4

“The tempted one needs to understand the true force of the will. This is the governing power in the nature of man—the power of decision, of choice.” Ellen White in The Ministry of Healing , p. 176CWe 104.5
