Counsel #16 — When we fully trust God, He acts

Picture: Counsel #16 — When we fully trust God, He actsCWe 18.1

In today’s fast-paced, control-obsessed world, truly trusting God can feel counterintuitive. We’re conditioned to map out every detail and anticipate every outcome, but surrendering control is acknowledging that God’s perspective and power far exceed our own. This isn’t passive resignation; it’s an active belief that even when circumstances appear bleak, God is working "behind the scenes," orchestrating events for the good of those who trust Him. This trust enables us to navigate uncertainty, overcome setbacks, and find peace amidst anxiety, knowing that our lives are aligned with a Being far greater, far more powerful than ourselves.CWe 18.2

When you commit your way to the Lord, you open yourself to experience His provision in unexpected ways, from tangible support to profound inner peace. It’s crucial to remember that "bringing it to pass" operates on God’s timing, not your own. Embrace this truth, ask God for help to live with unwavering faith, and believe He is actively involved in your life, working all things together for good.[17] https://stewardship.adventist.org/struggling-to-trust CWe 18.3

“Commit your way to the Lord, trust also in Him, and He shall bring it to pass.” Psalms 37:5 NKJVCWe 18.4

“In the darkest days, when appearances seem most forbidding, have faith in God. He is working out His will, doing all things well in behalf of His people.” Ellen White in Ministry of Health and Healing, p. 282CWe 18.5

Reflect: What does "profound inner peace" look like to you, and how can trust in God help you achieve it?CWe 18.6
