Counsel #6 — All For What Purpose?

    Picture: Counsel #6 — All For What Purpose?CSe 31.1

When considering the probability of evolution, we understand the making of complex molecules or organisms is by chance — a difficult process. But what if there were millions of years for those coincidental encounters, would that solve the problem? No!! Biochemists who use sophisticated lab procedures to synthesize proteins under ideal conditions tell us time is the enemy, not the solution for making complex compounds. Those lab procedures must bring the right atoms or molecules together quickly, under just the right conditions or the synthesis does not work. A stumbling accidental process is a lost cause. The process becomes even far less likely if the synthesis happened in some pond instead of in an ideal modern laboratory.CSe 31.2

Consider further issues: Even if the chance interactions of molecules could eventually make life, what would it be like? Where does the purpose of life fit into the macro-evolutionary theory? Think of an evolved human with no purpose or meaning and no future — evolved just enough to avoid being eaten by lions. That is the greatest accomplishment natural selection can hope for. And when people believe in a theory that holds no hope or purpose, is it any wonder many conclude that their life has no meaning?[30]https://www.perspectivedigest.org/archive/18-4/theistic-evolution-and-adventist-theologyCSe 31.3
