    Counsel #7 — A 200-Year Theory Farce

    Picture: Counsel #7 — A 200-Year Theory FarceCSe 47.1

Do fossils prove that mammals, reptiles, birds and even humans evolved? Charles Darwin himself acknowledged that they did not. In his famous book, he focused on explaining why fossils did not support his theory, attributing this to the limited number of fossils discovered. He predicted future discoveries would reveal the evolutionary links between various animal and plant groups.CSe 47.2

Millions of years of evolution should produce numerous intermediates between groups like reptiles and mammals, showing all stages of evolution. Nearly 200 years after Darwin’s theory, paleontologists have collected thousands of fossils. While some fossils have unique characteristics, they remain distinctly mammals or reptiles. The increasing number of fossils found only reinforces the clear separation between these groups, without the expected evolutionary intermediates.[46]https://lightbearers.org/blog/why-it-matters/CSe 47.3

“So God made every kind of animal. He made the wild animals, the tame animals, and all the small crawling things. And God saw that this was good.” Genesis 1:25 ERVCSe 47.4

“With every living creature, from the mighty leviathan among the waters to the insect mote that floats in the sunbeam, Adam was familiar. He had given to each its name, and he was acquainted with the nature and habits of all. On every leaf of the forest, in every shining star, in earth and air and sky, God's name was written. The order and harmony of creation spoke of infinite wisdom and power.” Ellen White in From Eternity Past, p. 20CSe 47.5

Reflect: Given the extensive fossil record now available, how does the absence of predicted intermediate forms impact your confidence in the scientific consensus that supports Darwin’s theory of gradual evolution?CSe 47.6
