    Counsel #10 — Sacred Circle

    Picture: Counsel #10 — Sacred CircleCR 215.1

Marriage is the spiritual center from which everything else flows. When parents stay united in love, grace, and commitment, their home will become a refuge where children feel safe, valued, and at peace. Unfortunately, most homes today don’t reflect this “sacred bond,” and whenever that bond is not established, the whole structure will fall.CR 215.2

God designed marriage as a covenant, which is a holy promise between you, your spouse, and Him. That bond creates what some call a “sacred circle,” or an emotional, spiritual, and physical space set apart. Inside that circle is where truth is shared, vulnerability is protected, decisions are made, and love is nurtured. It’s not meant to be crowded with other people’s opinions, overcommitment, or emotional affairs. Protecting the sacred circle doesn’t mean shutting others out. It means keeping your marriage prioritized and being more emotionally transparent with your spouse than with a coworker or friend. It means aligning spiritually through prayer, not letting the kids’ activities go against God’s Word, and making sure your spouse never has to guess whether the family still comes first. When a marriage is strong, the family is steadied - even when life is hard.[226] https://www.ellenwhitedefend.com/Family-Education/ah/ah27.htm CR 215.3
