    Teachers and Students

    1 Samuel 19:20. A leader was appointed to have charge of the schools.BHB 147.9

    2 Kings 2:3; 1 Samuel 10:12. The leaders were called masters or fathers, and the students were called sons.BHB 147.10

    1 Kings 18:4; 2 Kings 4:43. The schools were sometimes large.BHB 147.11

    1 Kings 18:4. The students of the schools of the prophets endured persecution and death rather than compromise the cause of God. Prophets and Kings, 126.BHB 147.12

    Isaiah 33:14-17. Before the coming of the Lord, some will be prepared in the same way to pass through a similar experience.BHB 148.8
