Our primary source of identity is that we are created in the very image of God Himself (Genesis 1:26, 27) and through faith in His sacrifice for our sins, we are included in His family by adoption.CSL 17.2

As we recognize our value as a child of God, we realize the equal value of all God’s children.^{[15]https://adventistreview.org/magazine-article/where-the-battle-lies/} We seek unity in the family of God, and we seek the salvation of those still outside His family. Because we are forgiven and accepted, we forgive and accept others.CSL 17.3
