    Counsel #13 — Did I Confess Everything?

    Picture: Counsel #13 — Did I Confess Everything?CSL 103.1

Do you find yourself worrying sometimes whether you have confessed all your sins? Remember, it is the Holy Spirit’s work to remind you of your sin and bring conviction. If you have asked God to search your heart and reveal your sin to you, He will! Believe that God is not trying to trick you into losing your salvation. Trust that if you have “confessed your sins, He is faithful and just to forgive you your sins and cleanse you from all unrighteousness.”[121]1 John 1:9 Look away from yourself and look to Jesus! Your forgiveness is not based on your feelings, but on the promises of God.CSL 103.2

Satan delights to see you mistrust God. He wants you to doubt God’s willingness and power to save you. When tempted to doubt whether you are forgiven, think instead of God’s love for you and the beauty and holiness of His character that He gives in response to your prayer of faith.[122]https://egwwritings.org/read?panels=p2723.100&index=0CSL 103.3
