    Counsel #5 — Wait Patiently

    Picture: Counsel #5 — Wait PatientlyCSL 63.1

Trust that God’s will ultimately triumphs and justice will prevail, if not in this world, then in the next (Romans 16:20). Choose to believe that God is working out a future for your best good (Jeremiah 29:11). We all want our prayers to be answered immediately and we tend to be discouraged and stressed if there is delay. But if we allow it, the delay can benefit our spiritual life. If we wait in calm patience for God and believe He will answer in His time, our faith is strengthened. To “watch unto prayer” means we believe we will receive the things we ask for in His time.[64]https://ssnet.org/blog/sunday-god-of-patience/CSL 63.2

“You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You.” Isaiah 26:3 NKJVCSL 63.3

“Rest in the Lord, and wait patiently for Him. He will be to you as the shadow of a great rock in a weary land. He will give you rest that the world can neither give nor take away. Come unto Me, He says, and your heart will be filled with the peace that passes all understanding.” Ellen White in Signs of the Times, July 6, 1904, par. 8CSL 63.4

Reflect: What is your attitude when God does not immediately answer your prayer? CSL 63.5
