    Counsel #1 — Jesus

    Picture: Counsel #1 — JesusCSL 83.1

Everyone hungers for support, validation, and comfort. No one is a better Support-giver than Jesus! He who created us twice—first by creation and again by redemption—knows us inside and out and longs to not only supply encouragement but also strength for our spiritual journey. We can trust the support of those hands which were nailed to the cross for us![82]https://adventistreview.org/magazine-article/who-jesus-is-to-me/CSL 83.2

“No longer do I call you servants, for a servant does not know what his master is doing; but I have called you friends….” John 15:15CSL 83.3

Jesus is attractive. He is full of love, mercy, and compassion. He proposes to be our friend, to walk with us through all the rough pathways of life. He says to us, I am the Lord thy God; walk with Me, and I will fill thy path with light. Jesus, the Majesty of heaven, proposes to elevate to companionship with Himself those who come to Him with their burdens, their weaknesses, and their cares. He will count them as His children, and finally give them an inheritance of more value than the empires of kings.” Ellen White in Lift Him Up, p. 98CSL 83.4
