Counsel #6 — Hope And Comfort

Picture: Counsel #6 — Hope And ComfortCSL 32.1

Scripture study gives hope and comfort. We find hope in the myriad promises in the Bible that Jesus WILL come again and put an end to all pain, sorrow, suffering and death. We find comfort in the promises of the Word of God that assure us of God’s presence through every step of our earthly journey.[29]https://beautifulbetween.com/find-hope-in-the-bible/CSL 32.2

“For whatever things were written before were written for our learning, that we through the patience and comfort of the Scriptures might have hope.” Romans 15:4CSL 32.3

“God has provided a balm for every wound…. Will you not now as never before study the Scriptures? Seek the Lord for wisdom in every emergency. In every trial plead with Jesus to show you a way out of your troubles, then your eyes will be opened to behold the remedy and to apply to your case the healing promises that have been recorded in His Word. In this way the enemy will find no place to lead you into mourning and unbelief, but instead you will find faith and hope and courage in the Lord.” Ellen White in The Faith I Live By, p. 186CSL 32.4

Reflect: In trial, what are some of your favorite Bible promises that bring the greatest comfort to you? CSL 32.5
