    Our uncertain and unpredictable world can be a major source of anxiety for people of all ages. Some people worry about their relationship with God and what will happen to them when they die. People also worry about economic insecurity, social and political instability, societal polarization, and health concerns.[17]https://adventist.news/news/help-to-overcome-anxietyCMH 20.2

    Today’s information overload can make it difficult to filter out what is true and what is not, leading to a sense of overwhelm. The unrealistic expectations hoisted on us by social media can also cause anxiety.CMH 20.3

    War zones or areas of high violence can induce fear and cause trauma. People who are discriminated against may feel unsafe or uncertain about their future.CMH 20.4

    Everyone experiences anxiety and fear differently. What triggers anxiety or fear for one person may not have the same effect on another person. But all of us can benefit from learning to trust God in greater ways.CMH 20.5
