    Counsel #3 — Self-Image And Stewardship

    Picture: Counsel #3 — Self-Image And StewardshipCMH 69.1

When we disregard our physical and mental well-being, as well as our spiritual connections, we become empty vessels that are unable to fully express the love and gifts that God has given us or to recognize our own worth. Good hygiene, getting enough sleep, eating well, exercising, spending time in nature, praying, reflecting, and cultivating meaningful relationships are all examples of personal stewardship that enable us to thrive and feel better about who we are.[72]https://stewardship.adventist.org/2013-17-4-gods-greatest-material-giftour-bodiesCMH 69.2

“Therefore, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.”
    1 Corinthians 10:31 NKJV
    CMH 69.3

“Life is a gift of God. Our bodies have been given us to use in God’s service, and He desires that we shall care for and appreciate them. We are possessed of physical as well as mental faculties. Our impulses and passions have their seat in the body, and therefore we must do nothing that would defile this entrusted possession. Our bodies must be kept in the best possible condition physically, and under the most spiritual influences, in order that we may make the best use of our talents.” Ellen White in Counsels on Health, p. 41CMH 69.4
