Counsel #1 — Decisions From A Christian Perspective

Picture: Counsel #1 — Decisions From A Christian PerspectiveCMH 59.1

As Christians, we are called to make wise decisions in all areas of our lives. These decisions will have either a negative or positive impact on us, and on others as well. When we are struggling with choices, remembering Christ’s deep love can help motivate us to make the right decision. Also, consider carefully how the decision will affect your relationship with God, your family, and your friends. Ask yourself if your decisions are based primarily on your own pleasure and lusts, or on reason and godly judgment? What controls your mind and choices?CMH 59.2

Making selfish choices over and over again becomes a habit. In contrast, making choices based on unselfish motives helps us develop the skill of choosing what's best, as well as positively impacting our character. With practice, making the right decision in trials and temptations can become second nature.[63]https://sabbath-school.adventech.io/en/2019-02/02/03-monday-making-the-right-choicesCMH 59.3
