Counsel #5 — Celebrate The Small Wins

Picture: Counsel #5 — Celebrate The Small WinsCMH 39.1

Don't wait for some grand achievement to celebrate. Acknowledge and appreciate the little victories along the way. Finished a tough project? Treat yourself to a bubble bath or a new tool! Cooked a decent meal? High five yourself but remember to praise Him who gave you the strength to achieve!CMH 39.2

The pressure to succeed can be overwhelming, often leaving us focused on distant, grand achievements while neglecting the smaller victories along the way. But a Christian perspective invites us to shift our lens, celebrating these "small wins" as steppingstones toward our ultimate purpose and expressions of God's grace in our lives. Small wins represent not just our efforts but also God’s faithfulness.[38]https://stewardship.adventist.org/celebration-a-spiritual-disciplineaCMH 39.3

“Let us come before His presence with thanksgiving: Let us shout joyfully to Him with psalms.” Psalms 95:2CMH 39.4

“Make an offering to your best Friend; acknowledge His bounties; show your gratitude for His favors; bring a thank offering to God…. Shall not the people of God more frequently have holy convocations in which to thank God for His rich blessings?” Ellen White in The Adventist Home, p. 475CMH 39.5

Reflect: How can celebrating these milestones shift your focus from seeking external validation to finding internal fulfillment? How can you express gratitude to God for the strengths and abilities He has given you to achieve these wins?CMH 39.6
