    Counsel #12 — Building A Relationship

    Picture: Counsel #12 — Building A RelationshipCMH 94.1

The purpose of your alone time with God is to build a relationship with Him as well as trust that He is the sole source of your salvation. As you surrender yourself completely to His Lordship, you will come into deeper communion with Him and often sense His encouraging presence. Prioritize your alone-time with God. Build it into your schedule, rather than just hoping it might happen if you can squeeze in time.[96]https://adventistreview.org/2007-1505/2007-1505-22/CMH 94.2

“The Lord your God in your midst, the Mighty One, will save; He will rejoice over you with gladness, He will quiet you with His love, He will rejoice over you with singing.” Zephaniah 3:17 NKJV CMH 94.3

“While writing upon the fifteenth chapter of John suddenly a wonderful peace came upon me. The whole room seemed to be filled with the atmosphere of heaven. A holy, sacred presence seemed to be in my room. I laid down my pen and was in a waiting attitude to see what the Spirit would say unto me. I saw no person. I heard no audible voice, but a heavenly watcher seemed close beside me; I felt that I was in the presence of Jesus.” Ellen White in Selected Messages, bk. 3, p. 35.5 CMH 94.4

Reflect: Share one or more times when you have felt Jesus quiet you with His peace and love.CMH 94.5
