    Counsel #10 — Praise

    Picture: Counsel #10 — PraiseCMH 92.1

If you were seeking to strengthen your bond with your spouse or significant other through time spent alone together, some of that time would doubtless be spent in sharing how much you care about the person, why you love him or her, and in remembering some of your special moments. In our alone time with God, we can also tell Him why we love Him and praise Him for past benefits and interventions on our behalf.[94]https://maranathasda.org/praise-god/ Learn through practice how to be God-focused and not so much self-focused in your alone time. CMH 92.2

“Bless the Lord, O my soul; and all that is within me, bless His holy name! Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits: Who forgives all your iniquities, who heals all your diseases, who redeems your life from destruction, who crowns you with lovingkindness and tender mercies, who satisfies your mouth with good things.“ Psalms 103:2-5 NKJV CMH 92.3

“Let us not be always thinking of our wants and never of the benefits we receive. We do not pray any too much, but we are too sparing of giving thanks.” Ellen White in Steps to Christ, p. 102.2CMH 92.4
