Counsel #11 — Growing In Christ

Picture: Counsel #11 — Growing In ChristCCL 21.1

Jesus' sacrifice on the cross was a game-changer against evil. He crushed demonic powers and guaranteed their ultimate defeat. This victory over Satanic control becomes yours too, as you walk with Jesus. You experience peace, joy, and the unshakeable truth of His love.CCL 21.2

The Holy Spirit now lives within you, giving you strength. By staying committed to Jesus as your Savior and Leader of your life, you’re free from the guilty weight of your past. You’ve traded the fear and emptiness of a hopeless existence for the reality of a purposeful life and promised eternity found in Jesus.CCL 21.3

To become more like Jesus, connect with Him daily through prayer, Scripture, reflection on nature, and sing His praises. Get together with other believers in worship and participate in the Church’s mission.CCL 21.4

Jesus also calls you to serve others — helping with their physical, mental, social, and spiritual needs. As you show love to others and share His message of salvation, the Holy Spirit transforms everything you do - every moment, every task - into a life-changing experience.[28]https://www.askanadventistfriend.com/adventist-beliefs/growing-in-christ/CCL 21.5

“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.” 2 Corinthians 5:17 NKJVCCL 21.6

“The Christian’s life is not a modification of the old but a transformation of nature, a death to self and sin, and a new life altogether. This change can come about only by the Holy Spirit.” Ellen White in Humble Hero, pp. 71, 72CCL 21.7

Reflect: In what ways do you experience peace, joy, victory, and love in your walk with Jesus?CCL 21.8
