Counsel #28 — The New Earth

Picture: Counsel #28 — The New EarthCCL 38.1

Have you ever pictured yourself living in God’s new earth, a literal place in infinity where goodness reigns supreme? You would be a real person who can think, speak, sing, taste, smell, and fully experience every bit of its wonder.CCL 38.2

Here, God creates an eternal home for the redeemed, a perfect environment overflowing with love, joy, and endless opportunities to learn and grow closer to Jesus. This is where God Himself will live alongside His people. Suffering and death will be a distant memory, never to rise again. The battle between good and evil will finally be over, and sin will be banished forever.CCL 38.3

Everything around us, living or not, will declare God's love. His reign will be supreme, eternally. Hallelujah! Amen![63]https://www.askanadventistfriend.com/adventist-beliefs/the-new-earth/CCL 38.4

“Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, nor have entered into the heart of man the things which God has prepared for those who love Him.” 1 Corinthians 2:9 NKJVCCL 38.5

“Christ assured His disciples that He went to prepare homes for them in the Father’s house. Human language cannot describe the reward of the righteous. Only those who see it will truly know it. No finite mind can comprehend the glory of the Paradise of God…. Pain cannot exist in heaven. There will be no more tears, no funeral processions. ‘There shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying.’” Ellen White in Love Under Fire, p. 272 (an adaptation of The Great Controversy)CCL 38.6

Reflect: How can you cultivate a deeper yearning for this eternal future with Jesus?CCL 38.7
