    Counsel #7 — Share Together

    Picture: Counsel #7 — Share TogetherCCL 9.1

Nothing inspires faith more than learning how God is active in everyday life.[7]https://ssnet.org/blog/power-of-personal-testimony/ Yet, few churches make time for sharing personal testimonies. Plan time for either one person to share a 5—10-minute testimony at AY about how God has been at work in their life or ask the congregation to share brief testimonies. This can bring a community together in a powerful way. Consider including a prayer time where people can pray for each other. Take note of prayer requests and follow up with people so that when God answers, everyone can come together to praise and thank Him.CCL 9.2

"I will declare Your name to my brethren; in the midst of the assembly I will praise You." Psalms 22:22CCL 9.3

“The prayer and social meeting [time for sharing testimonies] should be a season of special help and encouragement. All should feel it a privilege to take part. Let every one who bears the name of Christ have something to say in the social meeting. The testimonies should be short, and of a nature to help others. Nothing will so completely kill the spirit of devotion as for one person to take up twenty or thirty minutes in a long testimony. This means death to the spirituality of the meeting. Ellen White in Gospel Workers, p. 171.2CCL 9.4

Reflect: How has God been at work in your life recently? This is a great question to ask yourself and others.CCL 9.5
