Picture: Counsel #9 — Breaking Down BarriersCSI 28.1

Jane thought she was complimenting Malik when she said, "You’re not like the rest; you’re one of the good ones! You’re so articulate! You’re a credit to your race!" However, her words revealed deep-seated ignorance, suggesting that others from Malik's ethnic group are inferior. When Malik recoiled, both felt hurt, and a racial barrier was erected.CSI 28.2

In the United States, there is significant resistance to teaching Critical Race Theory, with many White Americans opposing the truth about slavery and ongoing racial injustice being revealed. This reluctance perpetuates centuries of denial and maintains the status quo. To dismantle racial barriers, we must confront our own biases and ask the Holy Spirit for new hearts and new thinking. Humility, introspection, and a willingness to make amends are essential in breaking down these barriers and fostering genuine love for others.[63]https://youtu.be/AsJoLsj1Ays?si=S1xBEGVIlx4jMG2oCSI 28.4
