Counsel #1 — Just Like Always?

    Picture: Counsel #1 — Just Like Always?CSI 83.1

If it seems to you that calamities and disasters are increasing, they are! The global number of natural disasters has increased tenfold since the 1960s.[119]https://www.visionofhumanity.org/global-number-of-natural-disasters-increases-ten-times/ While accelerating natural disasters aren't caused by God, He deeply cares for those suffering from them. “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort.” 2 Corinthians 1:3 NKJVCSI 83.3

“Let us not mourn and grieve because in this life we are not free from disappointments and afflictions. Can we not believe that He will give us everything that is for our good?…. Even in the night of affliction, how can we refuse to lift heart and voice in grateful praise, when we remember the love to us expressed by the cross of Calvary?” Ellen White in Testimonies for the Church, vol. 5, p. 316CSI 83.4

Reflect: The passage encourages gratitude even during hardship. What are some things you can be grateful for, even during difficult times?CSI 83.5
