    Counsel #3 — Honoring God’s Creation

    Picture: Counsel #3 — Honoring God’s CreationCSI 100.1

If you are a Christian, caring for the environment goes beyond simply avoiding polluting or being wasteful—you’re also reflecting your love for God and showing appreciation for His magnificent creation. The vibrant ecosystems, the delicate balance of life, the awe-inspiring landscapes—these are all evidences of the Creator’s glory. By recycling or keeping the park clean, by protecting and nurturing the Earth, you honor our planet—God’s handiwork.[149]https://stewardship.adventist.org/2013-17-2-creation-care-in-a-careless-worldCSI 100.2

“The heavens tell about the glory of God. The skies announce what his hands have made.” Psalms 19:1 ERVCSI 100.3

“God uses many ways to make Himself known to us and bring us close to Himself. He uses nature, which is always speaking to our senses. If we have open minds, we shall see God’s love and glory in the things He has made…. God wants us to enjoy what He has made. He wants us to delight in the simple, quiet beauty of the earth. God loves beautiful things, and more than the beauty of nature, He loves a beautiful character…. If we will listen, God’s created works will teach us precious lessons of trust and obedience.” Ellen White in Steps to Jesus, pp. 84, 85CSI 100.4
