    Counsel #11 — Christ’s Blueprint

    Picture: Counsel #11 — Christ’s BlueprintCSI 78.1

“Be Kind” is a popular motto and an important movement, yet those words are rarely probed beyond the surface action or reaction. On a deeper level, kindness involves justly offering the same opportunities to everyone equally. However, it goes even further — true kindness, the type Christ offers, seeks a way for all to equitably obtain the prize. Jesus demonstrated this kindness in His parable of the workers’ wages (Matthew 20:1-16). Each person had an equal chance to earn a day’s wage, and each was equitably given the same pay, no matter when they began working.[115]https://www.bobcornwall.com/2017/09/fair-wages-in-gods-realm-sermon-for.html Again, Jesus exhibits this same principle offering forgiveness of sin and salvation to all — no matter when you accept Him as Savior.CSI 78.2

While the world divides itself by its differences, determining importance by class, race, age, religion, sex, etc., Christ left us a blueprint — His life as an example. If we lived that blueprint, what a better society it would be.CSI 78.3

“Let each of you look out not only for his own interests but also for the interests of others. Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 2:4, 5 NKJVCSI 78.4

“To be unkind, to denounce others, to give expression to harsh, severe judgments, to entertain evil thoughts, is not the result of that wisdom which is from above.... the language of the Christian must be mild and circumspect, for his holy faith requires him to represent Christ to the world.” Ellen White in That I May Know Him, p.185CSI 78.5

Reflect: How will you live Christ’s blueprint in your interactions today? What ways can you build bridges instead of barriers?CSI 78.6
