Counsel #4 — Embracing Our Mandate

Picture: Counsel #4 — Embracing Our MandateCSI 55.1

We have a role to play in actively caring for and responsibly managing the earth and its resources. This biblical mandate encourages believers to engage in responsible governance and participate in shaping society in ways that align with God's intentions for His creation. It calls Christians to be mindful of their impact on the environment, to advocate for justice and equality, and to pursue policies and actions that promote the well-being of all living beings. Believers are called to be intentional and proactive agents of positive change, working towards a world that reflects God's values of love, justice, and stewardship.[92]https://www.adventistworld.org/ellen-white-and-the-environment/CSI 55.2

"Then God said, 'Let us make mankind in our image, in our likeness, so that they may rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky, over the livestock and all the wild animals, and over all the creatures that move along the ground.'” Genesis 1:26-28 NIVCSI 55.3

“The beauties of nature are a theme for contemplation. In studying the natural loveliness surrounding us, the mind is carried up through nature to the Author of all that is lovely.” Ellen White in Testimonies for the Church, vol. 3, p. 377CSI 55.4
