The world offers numerous inducements to measure our identities in our career, or in wealth, power, or success. Some people find their identity in their physical appearance and ability to attract attention. But all these things are temporary. Building our identities on what God has done for us is the only way to guarantee their stability and strength.^{[18]https://adventist.news/news/the-ten-bible-verses-about-your-identity}CI 20.2

“Put off, concerning your former conduct, the old man which grows corrupt according to the deceitful lusts, and be renewed in the spirit of your mind, and that you put on the new man which was created according to God, in true righteousness and holiness.” Ephesians 4:22-24 NKJVCI 20.3
