    Picture: Counsel #1 — Mindfulness: A Christian PerspectiveCI 50.1

Mindfulness — the practice of paying attention to the present moment without judgment — is gaining increasing popularity in contemporary society. It is often touted for its benefits in reducing stress, improving mental clarity, and enhancing overall well-being. While mindfulness has roots in Eastern spiritual traditions, its principles resonate with the teachings of Christianity, especially the importance of the will in achieving life transformation.CI 50.2

Though it’s not explicitly mentioned in the Bible, mindfulness aligns with many core Christian principles which we will explore in the next days. By incorporating mindfulness practices into daily life, we can cultivate a deeper connection with God, with ourselves, and with others, leading to a more fulfilling and spiritually rich life.[50]https://ssnet.org/blog/mindfulness-meditation-whats-buzz/CI 50.3

“And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.” Romans 12:2 NKJVCI 50.4

“When you yield your will to [Christ], He immediately takes possession of you, and works in you to will and to do of His good pleasure. Your nature is brought under the control of His Spirit. Even your thoughts are subject to Him.” Ellen White in My Life Today, p. 318CI 50.5
