Counsel #2 — Your True Identity

Picture: Counsel #2 — Your True IdentityCI 59.1

Our first identity is in Jesus.[58]https://www.ministrymagazine.org/archive/2019/03/Holy-Sexuality-and-the-Gospel We were bought with the price of Jesus’ own blood, and we are to glorify God in our bodies as well as in our spirit. When we begin to understand His great love for us, even in what may be a gender-conflicted condition, we come to realize that Jesus understands our pain, our mental distress, and our uncertainty. He invites us to bring all our burdens — including a sense of gender dysphoria — to Him and let Him be our Burden-bearer. In Jesus, we find new life for this earth and the comfort and hope of a perfect body in the world to come.CI 59.2

“Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.” Matthew 11:28, 29 NKJVCI 59.3

“[Satan] pictured the Creator as a being who is watching with jealous eye to discern the errors and mistakes of men, that He may visit judgments upon them. It was to remove this dark shadow, by revealing to the world the infinite love of God, that Jesus came to live among men.” Ellen White in Steps to Christ, p. 10CI 59.4
