    Counsel #6 — Vulnerability With God—Resolving Guilt

    Picture: Counsel #6 — Vulnerability With God—Resolving GuiltCI 103.1

If you have a secret sin in your heart, spend some time alone with God and tell Him about it. He already knows everything about you. Yes, it’s hard. But confessing our deepest insecurities, failures, and fears to Him is such a relief! We can acknowledge all our weaknesses in His presence with utter vulnerability and know that not only will He forgive us, but He also will continue loving us unconditionally! He promises to forgive us for all of our sins when we ask, and we can find peace in that knowledge.[99]https://adventistreview.org/magazine-article/holding-on-to-guilt/CI 103.2

“The one who comes to Me, I will by no means cast out.” John 6:37 NKJVCI 103.3

“Your sins may be as mountains before you; but if you humble your heart, and confess your sins, trusting in the merits of a crucified and risen Saviour, He will forgive, and will cleanse you from all unrighteousness…Desire the fullness of the grace of Christ. Let your heart be filled with an intense longing for His righteousness.” Ellen White in The Faith I Live By, p. 128CI 103.4

Reflect: When you ask God for forgiveness of your sins, are you honest and specific in your confession? Don’t hold back; He wants to hear everything.CI 103.5
