Biblical self-care is nurturing your body, mind, and spirit to glorify God.CI 90.2
As Christians, we're told to love God with all our heart, soul, and mind. But that also means we need to love ourselves. No one can pour from an empty cup. Taking care of ourselves isn't selfish; it's essential both for our spiritual growth and our ability to love and serve others.CI 90.3
Real self-care for Christians isn't just alone time, comfort food, going to bed early, or listening to music. It’s growing your faith, embracing God’s love and support, and seeing yourself through His eyes — precious, loved, and created with purpose (1 John 3:1).CI 90.4
“Do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own? For you were bought at a price; therefore, glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s.” 1 Corinthians 6:19, 20 NKJVCI 90.5
“Life is a gift of God. Our bodies have been given to us to use in God’s service, and He desires that we shall care for and appreciate them. Our bodies must be kept in the best possible condition physically, and under the most spiritual influences…” Ellen White in My Life Today, p. 125.2CI 90.6
