Satan’s first temptation in the Garden of Eden related to appetite (Genesis 3). The first temptation Satan presented to Jesus in the wilderness also centered on appetite (Matthew 4:1-11). Perhaps, if, with God’s help and strength, we can overcome Satan’s influence on our appetites, all other temptations will be easier to withstand.CI 14.2
