Counsel #5 — How We Are Redeemed
Picture: Counsel #5 — How We Are RedeemedCI 7.1
The result of sin is death (Romans 6:23), but Jesus experienced the death that should have been ours. The redemption and resurrection that He paid for with His death can also be ours if we choose to accept Him as our Savior from sin. We don’t deserve the gift of redemption, but Jesus freely gives it to us anyway.CI 7.2
Redemption is available to everyone. No matter who we are or what we’ve done, we can be forgiven and have a fulfilling, saving relationship with God. God’s image can be restored in us as we experience new life with Christ!CI 7.3
“Not with the blood of goats and calves, but with His own blood He entered the Most Holy Place once for all, having obtained eternal redemption.” Hebrews 9:12 NKJVCI 7.4
“Man’s physical powers were weakened, his mental capacity was lessened, his spiritual vision dimmed. He had become subject to death…. By infinite love and mercy the plan of salvation had been devised, and a life of probation was granted.” Ellen White in Education, p.15.2CI 7.5
Reflect: Are you looking for a new beginning? I encourage you to accept the new life Christ offers, filled with love, hope and peace for eternity!CI 7.6
