Jesus died for us so that we could have eternal life (Isaiah 53:4-6). Imagine being declared righteous (holy), not because you earned it, but because God freely gives you Christ's perfect record.CI 85.2
Isn't that powerful? Satan despises this because it weakens his hold on our minds. He feeds on our doubt, fear, and darkness. So, he persuades people to reject this gift, leaving them vulnerable to his temptations.CI 85.3
