    Counsel #3 — Remnant Chronology

    Picture: Counsel #3 — Remnant ChronologyCFL 29.1

From Genesis to Revelation, God has had a “set-apart” people who worship Him exclusively and separate themselves from all forms of idolatry, revealing Yahweh as a light in a dark place. During the 1260 years of great persecution described in Revelation 12:14-17, the “wilderness,” or sparsely populated areas of the earth, provided a refuge for God’s faithful people. When the 1260 years ended in 1798, God’s Last-Day (before the end of the world) Church appears on the world’s stage as the “remnant,” or the remaining faithful.[25]https://m.egwwritings.org/en/book/14266.256#256CFL 29.2

“But the woman was given two wings of a great eagle, that she might fly into the wilderness to her place, where she is nourished for a time and times and half a time, from the presence of the serpent.” Revelation 12:14 NKJVCFL 29.3

“Behind the lofty bulwarks of the mountains—in all ages the refuge of the persecuted and oppressed—the Waldenses found a hiding place. Here the light of truth was kept burning amid the darkness of the Middle Ages. Here, for a thousand years, witnesses for the truth maintained the ancient faith.” Ellen White in The Great Controversy, pp. 65, 66CFL 29.4
