When Jesus comes again, the wicked will be destroyed by the brightness of His coming, while the righteous dead will be raised to life. The righteous living will be caught up together with the resurrected ones to meet the Lord in the air (see 1 Thessalonians 4:16, 17). Together they will live and reign with Christ one thousand years in the celestial heaven, before coming down to inhabit through eternity the New Earth God re-creates.CFL 77.2
