Counsel #3 — What Causes The Shaking?

    Picture: Counsel #3 — What Causes The Shaking?CFL 61.1

Some will abandon their faith because of direct and honest warnings about attachment to ungodly ways of the world that contradict Scripture. Others will reject the Testimonies given through Ellen White. Another cause of “the shaking” will be unjust accusations and lying criticism against faithful workers in the church. Some will then open their hearts to doubt, lose faith in God’s remnant people, and the precious truth of Scripture will lose its power to them.[57]https://www.ministrymagazine.org/archive/1974/09/a-time-of-dividing-aheadCFL 61.2

“Now the Spirit expressly says that in latter times some will depart from the faith, giving heed to deceiving spirits and doctrines of demons.” 1 Timothy 4:1 NKJVCFL 61.3

“I asked the meaning of the shaking I had seen, and was shown that it would be caused by the straight testimony called forth by the counsel of the True Witness to the Laodiceans. This will have its effect upon the heart of the receiver, and will lead him to exalt the standard and pour forth the straight truth. Some will not bear this straight testimony. They will rise up against it, and this will cause a shaking among God’s people.” Ellen White in Testimonies for the Church, vol. 1, p. 181CFL 61.4

Reflect: How do you respond to biblical admonitions that condemn your favorite sins? CFL 61.5
