Just as Jesus cleansed the temple twice from sacrilegious corruption, so two distinct calls are made to “come out of Babylon” and its false doctrines. The first call to leave organizations teaching false doctrines was made the summer of 1844. The second angel’s message will be combined with the third angel’s message just before Jesus comes again and will be the final warning to be given to the inhabitants of the earth (see Revelation 18:1-3).CFL 48.2
