    Picture: Counsel #7 — Time AwarenessCLi 17.1

Here are some tips for being more time aware on social media:CLi 17.2

  • Set time limits for social media use. Decide how much time you are willing to spend on social media each day and stick to your limits.
  • Take breaks from social media. Get up and move around every 20-30 minutes to avoid sitting for too long. Consider taking longer breaks, such as a day or a week off from social media altogether.
  • Be mindful of your social media use. Pay attention to how you feel when you are using social media. Are you feeling happy and engaged, or are you feeling stressed and anxious? If you are feeling negative emotions, it may be time to take a break.
  • Ask God to help you stay within your time boundaries. Prayer is a powerful tool that can help you to resist temptation and stay disciplined.
  • “Use your time well, for these are evil days.” Ephesians 5:16 CJBCLi 17.3

“Our time belongs to God. Every moment is His, and we are under the most solemn obligation to improve it to His glory. Of no talent He has given will He require a more strict account than of our time.” Ellen White in Christ’s Object Lessons, p. 342CLi 17.4

Reflect: What would work for you so that you don’t spend more time on social media than you intended?[14]https://www.calendar.com/blog/social-media-waste-time/CLi 17.5
