Counsel #22 — God Vs. Satan

Picture: Counsel #22 — God Vs. SatanCLi 32.1

Long ago, Satan and the angels he led in rebellion were cast out of heaven by God, and ever since, they have roamed the Earth, working to deceive and mislead God’s people. Though the Great Controversy began in a distant time, the spiritual battle is still very real today.CLi 32.2

This cosmic struggle between good and evil touches every person, and at its core lies a challenge to God’s character.[29]https://www.adventist.org/the-great-controversy/ Satan uses tools like social media to create a culture of comparison, jealousy, evil, and negativity—filling our hearts with doubt about God’s goodness. He wants us to question, “If God is truly good, why does He allow so much suffering?” In reality, God grants each of us free will, hoping we will choose to seek, know, and love Him. As Christians, discernment is our most powerful defense, and if we approach social media with a prayerful, intentional heart, we can use it as a force for good.CLi 32.3

“The great dragon was hurled down-that ancient serpent called the devil, or Satan, who leads the whole world astray. He was hurled to the earth, and his angels with him.” Revelation 12:9 NIVCLi 32.4

“Satan well knows that all whom he can lead to neglect prayer and the searching of the Scripture, will be overcome by his attacks.” Ellen White in The Great Controversy, p. 34CLi 32.5

Reflect: How can you use the free will God gave you to glorify Him?CLi 32.6
