Counsel #3 — Youth As Examples

Picture: Counsel #3 — Youth As ExamplesCLi 66.1

In Titus 2:7, 8, Paul counsels young men to “be a pattern of good works; in doctrine showing integrity, reverence, incorruptibility, sound speech that cannot be condemned.” In the same chapter, Paul advises young [married] women to love their husbands and children, to take care of their homes and be wise, sensible, and morally pure. Because you love Jesus, choose to be an example of positive Christian living (see Philippians 4:9).[59]https://www.adventistworld.org/leading-by-example/CLi 66.2

“Let no one despise your youth, but be an example to the believers in word, in conduct, in love, in spirit, in faith, in purity.” 1 Timothy 4:12 NKJVCLi 66.3

“Dear young friends, …You all have an influence for good or for evil on the minds and characters of others. And just the influence which you exert is written in the book of records in Heaven…. Angels mark your prayers, and if these prayers have not gone forth out of feigned [insincere] lips, when you are in danger of unconsciously doing wrong, and exerting an influence which will lead others to do wrong, your guardian angel will be by your side, prompting you to a better course, choosing your words for you, and influencing your actions.” Ellen White in Appeal to the Young, p. 3CLi 66.4
