    Counsel #24 — Testimony

    Picture: Counsel #24 — TestimonyCLi 111.1

Whenever someone overcomes the sin of pornography, it’s always best to share that blessing with others. Not only will it inspire and encourage others who may still be struggling, but opening up about your personal journey can help someone feel as if they aren’t alone in their struggle.CLi 111.2

The enemy makes people believe that struggling with porn is something that should be kept secret. However, being truthful and transparent will help break the stigma around pornography addiction and allow more conversations to begin, leading to healing and support within our communities. Above all else, your testimony will give hope to those who feel as if recovery is impossible and at the same time also bring glory to God. Others will want to know how you overcame and who brought you through. What God did for you, He can do for anyone else who believes in Him.[103]https://adventistreview.org/magazine-article/to-him-who-overcomes/CLi 111.3

“Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective.” James 5:16 NIVCLi 111.4

“It is impossible for one to retain the favor and love of God, and enjoy communion with Him, and still feel no responsibility for the souls for whom Christ died, who are in error and darkness, perishing in their sins.” Ellen White in To Be Like Jesus, p. 260CLi 111.5
