Counsel #8 — Be The Light

Picture: Counsel #8 — Be The LightCLi 18.1

Though social media often carries a negative reputation, it can also serve as a powerful tool for spreading God’s word. By connecting with others on platforms like Instagram, Facebook, or Snapchat, you can make a meaningful impact by sharing your testimony, posting Bible verses, or offering prayer support to those struggling with their faith.CLi 18.2

Social media also provides a platform to promote Christian content or announce church events, promoting a sense of community and support. To be a light in the often-dark world of social media, approach every interaction with kindness, encouragement, and gentleness. Each time you scroll through Instagram or like a post on Facebook, remember that your mission is to reflect Christ’s character in both words and actions. Let your presence online be a reminder of God’s love and a source of inspiration for those who may need it most.[15]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lR4cwRWLQ1cCLi 18.3

“You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good to accomplish what is now being done, the saving of many lives.” Genesis 50:20 NIVCLi 18.4

“Do not blanket your light. Do not sinfully withhold your light. Do not let the mist and fog and malaria of the world put out your light. Do not hide it under a bed or under a bushel, but set it on a candlestick, that it may give light to all that are in the house…” Ellen White in Our Father Cares, p.127CLi 18.5

Reflect: What is one thing you can say or do today to be a light on social media?CLi 18.6
