Counsel #6 — Set An Example In Worship

Picture: Counsel #6 — Set An Example In WorshipCLi 69.1

Set an example to your friends and family by being consistent in your worship and devotional time with God. As others see that you consistently take time to pray and study the Word, your influence could inspire them to also seek the Lord. Also, choose to worship God with others, setting an example of regular church attendance (see Hebrews 10:25).[62]https://circle.adventistlearningcommunity.com/browse/517/ (An excellent list of resource links for worship and devotional ideas!)CLi 69.2

“My voice You shall hear in the morning, O Lord; In the morning I will direct it to You, and I will look up.” Psalms 5:3 NKJVCLi 69.3

“By the atmosphere surrounding us, every person with whom we come in contact is consciously or unconsciously affected…. Our words, our acts, our dress, our deportment, even the expression of the countenance, has an influence…. Every impulse thus imparted is seed sown which will produce its harvest. It is a link in the long chain of human events, extending we know not whither. If by our example we aid others in the development of good principles, we give them power to do good. In their turn they exert the same influence upon others, and they upon still others. Thus by our unconscious influence thousands may be blessed.” Ellen White in My Life Today, p. 121CLi 69.4

Reflect: Who do you especially hope to meet in heaven who may have been positively influenced by some act or attitude of yours? CLi 69.5
