Probably nothing has a greater impact on your spirituality than your choice of close friends. In 2 Timothy 3:1-5, Paul lists ungodly behaviors that would be prevalent in the last days of earth’s history, concluding with “from such people turn away!”^{[61]https://adventistreview.org/news/how-to-help-your-child-navigate-unhealthy-relationships/}CLi 68.2

It’s also important to consider what kind of influence you exert on others. As a young man, Samson had a heart for God but he also had a heart for the world (See Judges 16). He could have been one of the best role models Israel ever had, but instead he probably influenced many young people in Israel to compromise their faith.CLi 68.3
