Guilt and shame from pornography addiction are distinct issues. Guilt is a sign God is calling us to surrender our sin to Him, allowing Him to restore our relationship with Him. Shame, however, is a tool the enemy uses to trap us in past mistakes. Yet, the Bible assures us we are free from condemnation. Overcoming shame from pornography addiction begins by embracing God’s grace and unconditional love. Rather than fixating on failures, we must renew our minds daily through Scripture and prayer, trusting in God’s promises of forgiveness and renewal.^{[106]https://wi.adventist.org/editors-note-guilt-or-shame-faith-or-feeling/}CLi 114.2

Shame does not come from God but from the enemy. God’s Word affirms our worth and His desire for us to live in freedom and purity.^{[107]Romans 12:2} Remember, your identity is not defined by your sin but by Christ’s righteousness. As you draw near to God, He will transform your mind and heart, giving you the courage to walk boldly in His grace and love. Best of all, God sees you not as you were in your addiction, but as you are—clothed in Christ’s righteousness!CLi 114.3
