Counsel #7 — Time For Eternity

Picture: Counsel #7 — Time For EternityCLi 46.1

While we are in school, we make a time plan for our daily lives and for our life goals—scheduling classes, appointments, assignments into our phones or day planners, making sure we meet those appointments so we can graduate.CLi 46.2

Once we are in the work force, we again plan our days to be at work on time, meet ZOOM appointments, be ready to make presentations, and meet deadlines or quotas. Once again, success revolves around careful management of our time.CLi 46.3

But what about making time for eternity? Have we come to recognize that all our time belongs to God and that every moment is precious?[42]https://www.eldersdigest.org/en/2002/1/our-time-belongs-to-godCLi 46.4

“Teach us to number our days, that we may gain a heart of wisdom.” Psalms 90:12 NKJVCLi 46.5

“This is a question that demands consideration by every parent, every teacher, every student—by every human being, young or old. No scheme of business or plan of life can be sound or complete that embraces only the brief years of this present life and makes no provision for the unending future. Let the youth be taught to take eternity into their reckoning.” Ellen White in Education, p. 145CLi 46.6

Reflect: In view of eternity, how could you best manage your time?CLi 46.7
