Picture: Counsel #1 — She Focuses On JesusCCW 172.1

If your encounters with Ellen White’s writings have primarily been through isolated quotes or what other people say about her, you might not view her writings as Christ-centered. However, familiarity with her books, especially The Desire of Ages, Christ’s Object Lessons, and Steps to Christ, paint a very different picture. It’s hard to see anything other than Christ in her writings! Any reader of Ellen White will almost certainly find themselves drawn to Ellen White’s depiction of a loving and compassionate Savior. This isn’t just an opinion. A study of church growth in North America discovered that while 59% of nonreaders of Ellen White had an intimate relationship with Jesus, 85% of readers expressed this intimacy.[253]https://www.ministrymagazine.org/archive/1982/10/who-reads-ellen-white In other words, Ellen White’s writings measurably bring people closer to Jesus.CCW 172.2
