Counsel #3 — Christ Our Advocate

Picture: Counsel #3 — Christ Our AdvocateCCW 48.1

The Sanctuary system serves as a symbolic representation of Jesus, illustrating God's loving work for humanity. In this system, Jesus is depicted both through the offerings made for cleansing sin and the priests who conducted these rites. Each element reflects God's unwavering efforts to assist us, emphasizing that He is always on our side. Regardless of our past actions or mistakes, if we approach Him confessing our sins with a willingness to change, He offers forgiveness, gives us His purity and righteousness, and empowers us to begin a new and better life. Living in reliance on Him daily, we don’t have to fear judgment or condemnation.[64]https://ssnet.org/blog/jesus-is-the-sinners-advocate-and-friend/CCW 48.2

“My little children, these things I write to you, so that you may not sin. And if anyone sins, we have an Advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous.” 1 John 2:1 NKJVCCW 48.3

“All who have truly repented of sin, and by faith claimed the blood of Christ as their atoning sacrifice, have had pardon entered against their names in the books of heaven; as they have become partakers of the righteousness of Christ, and their characters are found to be in harmony with the law of God, their sins will be blotted out, and they themselves will be accounted worthy of eternal life.” Ellen White in The Great Controversy, p. 483.2CCW 48.4
