    Counsel #6 — A Daily Walk

    Picture: Counsel #6 — A Daily WalkCCW 67.1

Sometimes we view our journey with God as some kind of rulebook in which we have to do certain things to "win the prize." However, the Bible explains we are in a love-driven bond with Jesus, not a "check-list" relationship. When we embrace a loving connection with God, the right actions follow naturally. We become overwhelmed with His grace, and long to know Him better and reflect His goodness in our own lives. And when we slip-up, He doesn't "break up" with us but grants us full forgiveness in response to our prayer of confession (see 1 John 1:9).[93]https://stewardship.adventist.org/page205CCW 67.2

“Therefore we were buried with Him through baptism into death, that just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.” Romans 6:4 NKJVCCW 67.3

“Oneness with Christ depends on the renewing of the mind by the Holy Spirit. Thus we are strengthened to walk in newness of life, receiving from Christ the forgiveness of our sins. He who has that faith which works by love and purifies the soul is a cleansed vessel, sanctified and meet for the Master’s use. Self is dead…. There is a daily reception of the Holy Spirit, and this brings eternal life to the soul.” Ellen White in Letters and Manuscripts, vol. 15, Lt 75, 1900, par. 11CCW 67.4
