Past the courtyard and inside the tabernacle was a special table. On it, twelve loaves of bread were continually placed in two neat stacks. These weren't like pagan offerings meant to feed a deity. Rather, they symbolized trust in God's provision for every day’s needs. In John 6:35, Jesus referred to this, calling Himself the “bread of life.” He taught that believing in and turning to Him ensures our needs are met, just as God provided for the children of Israel in the wilderness.^{[68]https://m.egwwritings.org/en/book/1127.213#224}CCW 51.2
